Terms and Conditions of Service
Please read these terms carefully. They govern all emergency restoration services, property assessments, water extraction, structural drying, and hazardous remediation services conducted by Water Damage Restoration Tulsa throughout Tulsa, OK and surrounding metropolitan areas.
1Scope of Emergency Restoration Services
Water Damage Restoration Tulsa (“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) provides emergency disaster response, including but not limited to: emergency water extraction, moisture mapping, industrial dehumidification, antimicrobial application, fire and smoke residue removal, toxic mold remediation, sewage cleanup, and temporary storm mitigation board-ups across Tulsa, Oklahoma.
All restoration and mitigation procedures adhere strictly to the standards published by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), specifically IICRC S500 Standard for Professional Water Damage Restoration and IICRC S520 Standard for Professional Mold Remediation.
2Work Authorization & Property Access
Before our technicians commence physical labor on-site, the property owner, authorized tenant, or designated property manager must execute an on-site or digital Work Authorization / Contract for Services.
- You grant our licensed technicians, crew leads, and subcontractors full access to all affected interior and exterior areas of the premises.
- You agree to keep domestic pets and unauthorized individuals away from active work zones where industrial air movers, high-voltage cables, or containment barriers are positioned.
- You agree to maintain active electrical power and municipal water service required to operate diagnostic thermal cameras and commercial drying units.
3Payment Terms & Service Invoicing
All mitigation and drying work is performed pursuant to an executed Work Authorization outlining equipment deployment, psychrometric monitoring, and labor requirements.
Client Responsibility: The property owner or authorized client remains responsible for payment for all authorized services rendered. Itemized invoicing documenting psychrometric dry-out readings and labor hours is provided upon project completion.
4Structural Drying Protocols & Equipment Operation
Effective structural drying requires continuous operation of commercial air movers and desiccant/refrigerant dehumidifiers—typically 3 to 5 continuous days.
Property owners agree NOT to turn off, unplug, or relocate restoration drying equipment without prior written permission from our lead project manager.
Premature shutdown of drying equipment can cause secondary water damage, mold spore proliferation, warped hardwood subfloors, and may void drying certifications and contractor warranties.
5Hazardous Materials & Category 3 (Black Water) Contamination
In older structures throughout Tulsa County, pre-existing asbestos or lead paint may be present in drywall, popcorn ceilings, or vinyl flooring. If our technicians suspect hazardous building materials during selective demolition, work in the affected area will pause immediately pending certified laboratory testing.
Sewage backups or river flooding are classified as Category 3 Black Water and carry pathogenic biohazards. Porous items such as saturated mattresses, carpet padding, and insulation that have contacted Category 3 water must be safely disposed of in accordance with Oklahoma health regulations and cannot be salvaged.
6Limitation of Liability
Water Damage Restoration Tulsa shall not be held liable for pre-existing structural flaws, dry rot, undetected plumbing deterioration, or hidden moisture intrusion predating our on-site arrival. In no event will our aggregate liability exceed the total amounts paid for the specific mitigation services rendered on the subject property.
7Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions and all associated Work Authorizations shall be interpreted, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Any legal proceeding arising out of or related to our services shall be instituted exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tulsa County, Oklahoma.
